A QR code on the CHG cloth pack that walks the patient through prep

Patients go home with 2% CHG cloths and a printed sheet. A Timertag QR code on each pack turns that sheet into timed, guided steps on the patient's own phone, in their own language. No app, no account, no login.

  1. One code per packSage ships the cloths as single packs, so each pack carries its own code. Any pack works for either step: the patient taps "Night before" or "Morning of surgery".
  2. One photo of all the packsBefore opening anything, the patient lays the packs side by side and takes one photo.
  3. The night beforeShower, then a one-hour wait for skin to cool and dry. The page tells the patient what to say to Siri or Google to set a 60-minute timer. Before bed, a voice prompt to set a morning alarm.
  4. Six cloths, one zone eachA body map shows where each cloth goes and what to keep clear of. In the morning, a new pack, no second shower.
  5. The nurse scans each code in the photoAt admission the nurse points a hospital phone at each code in the photo, sees when that pack was started, and scans its GS1 DataMatrix into the EHR. No Epic build, no paper, and nothing remembers the patient's phone.

Concept for discussion with Stryker Sage. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Stryker. Zones, wait times and wording are illustrative and would come from Sage's instructions, fixed per product; nothing is set by the hospital. Translations and voice-assistant wording are drafts for demo use; check each phrase on a real phone in each language. Each DataMatrix uses GS1's example GTIN and that pack's random serial; the start time sits in internal AI (91) for the night step or (92) for the morning step, as YYMMDDHHMM. In the product, the step and start time are stored against the pack's serial on the platform, so any phone that opens the code sees them; packs are not linked and the phone is not remembered. This demo keeps everything in the browser. Times are when the patient tapped to start, not proof the cloths were used. The short address printed under each code (illustrative) opens the same page if a code won't scan.
